Thema: ‘Building Sustainable Futures - Enacting Peace and Development’

Every two years, the members of the International Peace Research Association meet at their global conference to
(a) asses conflict and peace building in the world,
(b) discuss the state of the art of peace research,
(c) to plan future research, and
(d) influence the practice and decision-making of violence prevention and peace building.
In July 2008 we will concentrate on the crucial links between sustainable development and peace building.
