Vreemdelingen hebben geen negatieve impact op sociale samenhang in Europa

In zijn doctoraal proefschrift “Ethnic and Cultural Diversity, Integration Policies and Social Cohesion in Europe. A Comparative Analysis of the Relation between Cultural Diversity and Generalized Trust in Europe” onderzocht Tim Reeskens of de sociale samenhang systematisch zwakker is in Europese landen met een hoge mate van diversiteit. Hij ging ook na of het gevoerde integratiebeleid de sociale cohesie in gemengde samenlevingen kan versterken.

The workshop will explore the possibilities to combine critical realist philosophy with biographical-narrative methods for a well-founded and workable toolkit for practical research in the social sciences, with immediate application to European policy studies.
